Sinossi: Sofia è nata prematuramente da un barbiere nel giugno del 1968, lo stesso giorno in cui è stato assassinato Robert Kennedy. Per 15 anni è stata cresciuta tra le stoviglie e i tavoli del ristorante dei suoi genitori. Gran lavoratrice, ambiziosa e imprevedibile, presto si innamora di due uomini: il primo, Tony, è il genero che ogni madre sognerebbe di avere; lo sposa e ha da lui 3 bambini; del secondo, Frank, lagente che ogni artista vorrebbe avere, si innamora e con lui scopre i segreti dellhaute cuisine. Insieme raggiungono un accordo professionale ed amoroso che rivoluzionerà luniverso culinario e personale di Sofia.
Synopsis:Sofia was born prematurely in a barbershop in June 1968, on the same day that Robert Kennedy was assassinated. For 15 years she was raised amid the stovetops and tables of her parents restaurant. A hard-working, ambitious and unpredictable woman, she soon falls in love with two men. One of them, she marries: Toni, the son-in-law that every mother dreams of having, with whom she has three children. The other, Frank, is the agent that any artist would want, and with him she discovers the secret of haute cuisine. Together they come to a professional and romantic agreement that will revolutionize her culinary and personal universe.

| Biografia / Biography: Joaquín Oristrell è uno dei più conosciuti sceneggiatori del cinema spagnolo contemporaneo, il suo eccezionale curriculum gli ha consentito di espandere le sue responsabilità e assumere il ruolo di regista. In larga parte Oristrell ha scelto di affrontare il genere della commedia, alla causa del quale ha contribuito con alcuni dei più grandi successi nel panorama cinematografico e televisivo spagnolo, culminando con la conquista di un Goya per il film Todos los hombres son iguales (1994). Joaquín Oristrell is one of the best known screenwriters in contemporary Spanish cinema, and with his brilliant resume he has expanded his responsibilities by becoming a director. After graduating with a liberal arts degree, Oristrell began his career as a capable and prolific screenwriter. For the most part he has chosen to tackle the comedy genre, to which he has contributed some of the greatest successes in Spanish film and television. He received a Goya award for the film, Todos los hombres son iguales (1994).
